The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality announced that it has increased the prices of transportation. Accordingly, the full ticket in Ankara will increase from 9.50 TL to 15 TL on Monday, July 24, 2023, the student ticket will increase from 4.75 TL to 7.5 TL, and the student subscription will increase from 140 TL to 220TL. .

Thus, transport prices in Ankara increased by 57.89 percent. In the statement issued by the municipality, it was indicated that this decision was made due to the increase in costs.

“According to the new decision made at the UKOME meeting, from Monday, July 24, 2023, we are sorry to inform that the full ticket is 15 TL, the student ticket is 7.5 TL and the student subscription is unlimited 220 TL per month,” the statement said.

INCREASED SCT

With the decision published in the Official Gazette last weekend, the SCT on fuel was increased. Thus, the amount of the SCT levied on the price of a liter of 95 octane unleaded gasoline was 7.52 liras in total, and the special consumption tax on 98 octane unleaded gasoline was 7.99 liras per liter. .
