Last week the Alkmaar court ordered Big Bazar to pay over 89,000 euros in overdue rent for two buildings in Schagen and Wormer. These buildings also have to leave the company within a month and be handed over spotless.
The owner doesn’t want to answer RTL News’ questions because he doesn’t want to make any statements about customers, a spokesperson said. It is clear that the problems do not only occur in North Holland. There are also rent arrears in the Vlaardingen and ‘s-Gravenzande branches, confirms Renpart Vastgoed.
Big Bazar, owned by Frisian entrepreneur Heerke Kooistra and his company BB-Retail, also did not respond to RTL’s e-mail inquiries and cannot be reached by telephone.
