Memory of India by Erkan and Şimşek
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and CMB President Hafize Gaye Erkan went to India to attend the G20 meetings.
Sibel Tokgöz, press adviser at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, shared a photo taken by Erkan and Şimşek during their visit to India.
Tokgöz wrote on the photo: “Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan are in India for G20 talks!” he made statements.
Of note, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and World Bank President Ajay Banga are in the photo. It was claimed that Erkan and Şimşek would meet Yellen after the summit.
THEY WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE GULF OF ERDOĞAN TOUR
Şimşek and Erkan will also take part in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to the Gulf countries after the G20 meetings.
Şimşek and Erkan will meet with Yellen, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Singapore’s Finance Minister today, two sources told Reuters. After the talks, the two will be included in the visit to the gulf.
Erkan will be able to participate in the first part of the visit to the gulf thanks to PPK.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates from July 17 to 19.
Erdogan will meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamed Al Thani, and United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, respectively. (SÖZCÜ-REUTERS)
