SCT natural gas rise
After its publication in the Official Gazette, the Presidential Agreement on the Redetermination of the Amounts of the Special Consumption Tax Applied to Certain Assets entered into force.
In the decision it was seen that the SCT was increased to natural gas as well as fuel products. Consequently, the SCT, which was TL 0.0230 per cubic meter of natural gas, was increased to TL 0.0747 with today’s decision.
The SCT of natural gas used as fuel in motor vehicles was 2.7944 LT per cubic meter. The decision entered into force on July 16, 2023.
With the regulation of the Value Added Tax (VAT) made last week, the VAT rate on natural gas was increased to 20 percent.
Tax experts, who gave information to Sozcu.com.tr on the matter, said the increase would also be reflected in the residence’s natural gas bills.
HIGH GASOLINE
The sentence also made an increase in the SCT with respect to gas, oil and fuel oil. The amount of SCT, which was 2.52 TL per liter before the regulation, increased to 7.52; The SCT amount of 2.05 per liter of diesel increased to 7.05. The amount of SCT per liter of autogas LPG was determined to be 5.77 TL.
While the price of a liter of gasoline increased to 35.90 liras, diesel to 33.18 liras, autogas went to 15.91 liras.
