SCT rates increased in fuels: Giant rise in gasoline and diesel
The fuel special consumption tax (SCT) was increased.
After its publication in the Official Gazette, the Presidential Agreement on the Redetermination of the Amounts of the Special Consumption Tax Applied to Certain Assets entered into force.
Thus, the amount of the SCT that will be charged on the price of a liter of 95 octane unleaded gasoline will be 7.52 liras in total, and the special consumption tax on 98 octane unleaded gasoline will be 7.99 lire per liter
The SCT will be charged 7.05 liras per liter of diesel and 5.77 liras for LPG autogas.
With the decision, the amounts of the SCT have increased by 5 liras per liter in diesel and gasoline. Before the regulation, TL 2.52 per liter was charged for gasoline and TL 2.05 for diesel fuel. It is expected that the reflection of these increases in the sale price of the pump will be 6 lira with VAT.
Within the scope of the reform, the SCT amounts of products such as benzol, tuluol, xyol, solvent naphtha and mineral lubricants are also regulated.
