70 percent increase in public bread of the AKP municipality

Due to the increase in the costs of inputs such as flour, electricity and yeast in the last year, bakers increased the prices of bread in Manisa, as in many other provinces.

In Manisa, the Chamber of Artisans and Craftsmen began selling 200 grams of bread for 7 TL in its member bakeries, while bakers from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry began selling the price of 210 grams of bread for 7.5 TL. .

STARTED WITH 3.5 TL, INCREASED TO 6 TL

In Manisa, AKP’s Yunusemre Township started bread production by establishing the Yunusemre Township Bread Factory (YUN-EK) at the end of last March to deliver cheaper and healthier bread to the public. 220 grams of Public Bread began to be sold to citizens for 3.5 TL at kiosks created by the municipality in 12 neighborhoods of the Yunusemre district.

Posing with bread during his visit to the People’s Bread Factory, AKP Yunusemre Mayor Mehmet Çerçi stated that they will produce 5,000 loaves of bread per day, saying, “We started the public bread work, which we prepared earlier, from Ramadan month. As YUN-EK, that is, Yunusemre Township Bread Factory, we will produce popular bread. We will offer them for sale in 12 of our neighborhoods. 220 grams of bread will be sold for 3.50 TL. Especially our citizens with limited purchasing power can shop here.” he had used the words.

In the application, which was implemented after a period of 3.5 months from the day the factory began production to this time, the price of popular labor of 3.5 TL was increased by 70 percent. to 6TL.

“NOT BEING BREAD OF THE PEOPLE”

CHP Yunusemre district mayor, lawyer Yalçın Arcak, who criticized the 70 percent increase in public bread produced by the AKP’s Yunusemre Municipality, said the increase was not at an acceptable rate.

“The AKP government, which distributed heavily to win the elections, turned the treasury into dry copper. After the elections, the account of this began to be cut to the citizens. Almost every day, a needle-to-thread augmentation is done.

Now, from these walks, the people produced by the AKP’s Yunusemre Municipality have had their share of bread. Public bread, which sold for 3.5 TL and was produced to provide cheap bread to the public, was increased to 6 TL with an increase of 70 percent. Bread currently sells for between 7 TL and 7.5 TL in the city. The municipality sells bread at 6 TL because it is cheap.

Well, what is this about giving people cheap bread? After this increase, making people is no longer the bread of the people. From now on, no one can paint people’s eyes just because we offer cheap bread service to people. We hope that AKP Yunusemre Mayor Mehmet Çerçi will come back from this mistake as soon as possible. We demand that bread, for which the people use the expression, be sold cheaply to our low-income citizens.”
