According to information provided by sources in the fuel sector, the price of a liter of gasoline will increase by 1 lira and 32 cents, starting tonight.
No increase in engine is expected tonight.
Gasoline and diesel will increase about 40 cents due to the increase in the SCT in the coming days.
WHAT WILL THE NEW PRICES BE?
With tonight’s rise, the price of a liter of gasoline will rise to TL 28.02 in Istanbul, TL 28.48 in Ankara and TL 28.59 in Izmir.
The price per liter of diesel is approximately TL 26.32 in Istanbul, TL 26.80 in Ankara and TL 26.98 in Izmir.
Prices vary between provinces, districts and distributors, depending on the distance from the refinery and the profit margin.
41 PERCENT HIGH AFTER THE ELECTION
Before the elections on May 14, the price per liter in Istanbul was TL 19.81 for gasoline and TL 18.58 for diesel. In the two months after the election, the rate of increase was 41.4 percent for gasoline and 41.7 percent for diesel.
In this period, the price of the dollar went from 19.60 to 26.20.
