Discussions on the proposal for civil servants and retirees began in Turkey’s Grand National Assembly

NATO REACTION FROM THE GOOD PARTY

IYI Party Group Vice President Dursun Musavat Dervişoğlu, regarding Turkey’s steps regarding Sweden’s NATO membership, said: “Since NATO membership is only possible with a unanimous vote, the will and Turkey’s attitude in this matter is, of course, decisive. Therefore, it is possible to guarantee the highest interests of the Turkish nation in the most effective way with a coherent foreign policy, correct diplomacy and the legitimate means at Turkey’s disposal. Dervişoğlu also called on the government to ‘report to the Assembly’ on this issue.

The vice president of the MHP Group, Erkan Akçay, regarding the bill whose negotiation began, said: “From July 1, 2023, there is a 17.55 percent increase in the salaries of all our public servants and a net increase of 8 thousand 77 liras. be. However, of course, you have to take into account the budgetary possibilities, and there is a 25 percent increase in the pensions of our retirees, whose number is almost 16 million, and from what we can see in society, this amount of increase in the pensions of our retirees has not been found enough, which is a fact.

ADDITIONAL BUDGET RESPONSE

CHP Group Vice President Gökhan Günaydın, regarding the ‘additional budget’ proposal accepted in the Parliamentary Committee on Plan and Budget, said: “You bring an additional budget of TL 1 trillion 119 billion, but within the stock market law, provides an additional allocation of 794 billion TL to the president. Wherever you store it, this means; The total amount of the additional budget it brought is 1.9 trillion TL. So let’s ask; Why do you hide? Include all of them in the additional budget and let’s talk together.”

Regarding the NATO summit, AKP Group Vice President Abdülhamit Gül said: “Our president made very important contacts and dialogues in line with Turkey’s achievements at the NATO summit. We will closely follow the very important developments, which are gains for Turkey and our nation, in this period and, as a result, they will be approved within this framework in our Supreme Assembly and subject to the will of our Assembly,” he said.

SUGGESTIONS PROVIDED

After the speeches, group suggestions were made. Proposals by the group on SP statutory decrees, the GOOD Party on Sweden’s NATO membership, YSP on journalists on trial and CHP on tax justice were rejected.

The AKP’s proposal to put the bill, which includes regulations on pensioners and civil servants, at the top of the agenda was accepted.
