Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board Ahmet Bolat shared a post on his LinkedIn account announcing that there will be a 20.77 percent increase in THY employees.

Bolat shared: “I drink my coffee calmly. We did the best we could,” and sharing a photo while drinking coffee sparked reactions.

Bolat made the following statements in his post announcing the rate increase:

“As is known, the second year, the second six-month salary increase in accordance with Article 32 of the 27th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement signed between Turkish Airlines AO and Turkish Statistical Institute Consumer Price Index (TUIK ) of the Civil Aviation Union of Turkey (2003= 100) June 2023 index number It would be done by adding an additional 1 percent to the exchange rate based on the December 2022 index number. In this context, the exchange rate from TURKSTAT it was 19.77 percent. In addition to that, when the additional increase with 1 percent CIS is added, the rate of increase to be made in salaries on 06.30.2023, effective as of 07.01.2023, has been determined at 20.77 percent.”

In addition, Bolat said that he will deliver a part of the welfare in the second half of the year in the form of two additional bonuses. He specified that the first of the bonuses will be deposited in the accounts on August 8, when the July salary will be paid, and the second on November 8, when the October salary will be paid.
