Announce salary increase for civil servants
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced the rate of increase in civil servants’ salaries.
Güler stated that in the scope of increasing the lowest salary of civil servants to 22 thousand lira, an increase of 17.55 percent plus 8 thousand TL will be made.
Güler said: “With our proposal, we foresee a net increase of 8 thousand 77 lira in the wages and salaries of all public servants, in addition to the planned increase, including the inflation difference, for the period from July 1, 2023 and December 31. , 2023.”
According to the inflation data announced today by TUIK, in addition to the increase in the salaries of civil servants, there would be an increase of 17.55 percent due to the inflation difference of 6 months. With the proposal to Parliament, the increase that will be added to the 6-month inflation difference has also become clear.

In the proposal, the lowest salary for civil servants is expected to be increased from TL 11,848 to TL 22,17 with an increase of 86 percent.
It is planned to increase the average salary of civil servants from TL 14,000,417 to TL 25,000 15 with an increase of 74 percent.
86 PERCENT INCREASE IN THE OFFICER’S MINIMUM WAGE
Güler’s statements were as follows:
“With our proposal, we anticipate a net increase of 8 thousand 77 lira in the wages and salaries of all civil servants, in addition to the expected increase, including the inflation gap, for the period between July 1, 2023 and July 31. December 2023.
Here, while the lowest salary for civil servants was 9,105 liras in December 2022, it will increase to 11,848 liras in January 2023 and 22,017 liras in July 2023 at the rate of increase. In this way, the rate of increase in July reaches 86 percent in total.
Looking at the cumulative rate for 2023, we will have achieved an increase of 142 percent in total.
Although the average salary of civil servants was 10,932 liras in December 2022, it will increase to 14,417 liras in January 2023 and now to 25,015 liras in July 2023. The rate of increase for July corresponds to to 74 percent in total in the average salary of civil servants”.
