Exports fell 10.5 percent in June

The Ministry of Commerce announced foreign trade data for June.

Consequently, exports decreased by 10.5 percent annually in June and amounted to 20.9 billion dollars.

A statement from the ministry. “The main reason for this is the pause in orders and deliveries due to the 9-day holiday of Eid al-Adha,” he said.

In June, imports fell 16.8 percent on-year to $26.3 billion. In the statement issued by the ministry, it was indicated that imports “regressed to the lowest level of the last 20 years.”

In June, the foreign trade deficit narrowed 34.5 percent on-year to 5.4 billion US dollars.

The foreign trade deficit, on the other hand, rose 18.8 percent annually to $12.7 billion in May.

In the period January-June 2023, exports decreased 1.8 percent to 123,377 million dollars, while imports increased 4.3 percent to 184,795 million dollars.

MOST EXPORTS TO GERMANY

The countries with the highest exports in June are respectively; Germany (1.78 billion dollars), USA (1.33 billion dollars) and England (1.12 billion dollars).

The share of the top 10 countries with the largest share of exports in total exports was 48.2 percent.

The countries that we import the most in June are respectively; China (3 thousand 818 million dollars), the Russian Federation (2 thousand 981 million dollars) and Germany (2 thousand 12 million dollars).

The share of the top 10 countries with the largest share of imports in total imports was 58.9 percent.
