The number of tourists who arrived in Antalya by air exceeded 5.5 million.
According to data received from the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism of the Antalya Governorate, the number of tourists who arrived in the city between January 1 and June 30 was 5,523,624.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the rate of increase was 29 percent and the numerical figure was 1,239,140.
RUSSIANS RANK FIRST
The Russians, who visited the city by air between January 1 and June 30, with the figure of 1,309,267 tourists and a rate of 25.24 percent, ranked first on the list.
The Russians were followed by the Germans with 1,191,062 tourists and 22.96 percent, and the British with 520,569 tourists and 10.03 percent.
Other countries in the top 10 are listed below; Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Lithuania, Israel and Ukraine.
INCREASE OF 15 PERCENT IN JUNE
The number of tourists arriving in Antalya by air between June 1 and June 30 increased by 15 percent compared to the same period a year earlier, reaching 2,141,809.
The number of tourists since June of last year was 1,869,206. The numerical increase was 272,603.
As in the whole year, the Russians took first place with the number of 525,515 tourists.
The Russians were followed by the Germans with 363,444, the Poles with 168,785 and the British with 168,385. (DHA)
