250,000 people traveled in one day

The 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, which begins at the end of the business day on Friday, continues at the Istanbul airport. Although today a total of 1,583 flights are expected from the airport, 254,559 passengers are expected to travel.

Citizens who want to spend the Eid al-Adha holidays outside of Istanbul continue to create a density at the Istanbul airport. Passenger mobility continues to increase at Istanbul Airport, with the addition of the festive holiday to the intensity brought by the summer season.

HOLIDAY INTENSITY AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT

Officials of IGA, the Istanbul Airport Operator, took a number of measures to prevent passengers from being victimized due to density. Queues sometimes form at check-in counters and security points.

While 1,552 flights were organized from the airport on Friday, 246,994 passengers traveled. Istanbul Airport, which yesterday was used by 251,737 passengers with 1,510 flights, is also expected to have 1,583 flights today, while 254,559 passengers are expected to travel. (DHA)
