250,000 people traveled in one day
The 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, which begins at the end of the business day on Friday, continues at the Istanbul airport. Although today a total of 1,583 flights are expected from the airport, 254,559 passengers are expected to travel.

Officials of IGA, the Istanbul Airport Operator, took a number of measures to prevent passengers from being victimized due to density. Queues sometimes form at check-in counters and security points.
