German state-owned energy company Seuring Energy for Europe GmbH (SEFE) has signed a 20-year deal to supply 2.25 million tonnes of LNG a year from US liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Venture Global LNG.
With this agreement announced yesterday, the annual amount of LNG supplied by Germany from Venture Global will reach 4.25 million tons and the company will become the largest LNG supplier in Germany.

The LNG to be imported will be sourced from Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass 2 (CP2) project.
“Venture Global is pleased to enter into a strategic partnership with SEFE and build the company into Germany’s largest long-term LNG supplier,” said Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global LNG.
