What items have changed with the new minimum wage?

UNEMPLOYMENT WAGE

If the insured employees meet the conditions specified in the law, unemployment benefits are paid for a specified period and for a specified amount during the period they are unemployed. The unemployment benefit cannot be less than 40 percent of the gross amount of the monthly minimum wage nor exceed 80 percent.

Consequently, the lowest unemployment salary was TL 5,365 and the highest unemployment salary was TL 10,731.

DISABLED MONEY

The disability pension was applied as TL 1,738 for the disabled at a rate of 40-69 percent, and as TL 2,609 for the disabled at a rate of 70 percent or more.

After the new minimum wage increase, the lowest rate was TL 2,328 per month for the disabled at a rate of 40-69 percent, and TL 3,496 for the disabled at a rate of 70 percent and above.

MILITARY AND BIRTH LOANS

The debt for birth and military service cannot be made if it is less than 32 percent of the daily gross minimum wage and more than 7.5 times this amount.

In the first half of 2023, this figure was applied as the lowest of TL 106.75 and the highest of TL 800.62.

With the new increase, this figure was the lowest of 143 TL and the highest of 1070 TL.

REPORT FEES

By 2023, minimum wage workers received a daily reporting fee of 223.5 lira for outpatient treatment and 167.68 lira for inpatient treatment.

With the new increase, the daily wage for outpatient treatment was TL 299.49 and for hospital treatment it was TL 224.69.

INTERNSHIP SALARIES

Interns are paid no less than 30 percent of the net minimum wage.

Therefore, the salaries of interns increased from TL 2,552.04 to TL 3,420 with the new increase.

65 YEARS MONEY

The 65-year-old pension was applied in 2 thousand 604 TL in the first period of 2023. With the new increase, the age of 65 years became 3 thousand 489 TL.

GSS

In the first half of 2023, SGK was applying the GSS premium at TL 300.24 per month.

With the new increase, the GSS monthly premium was 402 TL.

OPTIONAL PREMISES INSURANCE

In optional insurance, there is an upper and lower limit for the amount of the premium. Premiums may be paid at least 32 percent of the gross minimum wage and at most 32 percent of 7.5 times the gross minimum wage.

In the first half of 2023, the lowest premium amount was 3,202 TL and the highest premium was 24,19 TL.

With the increase, the lowest premium amount was TL 4,292 and the highest premium was TL 32,193.
