CHICKEN MEAT PRODUCTION DECREASES IN APRIL

In the January-April period, chicken egg production increased 3.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year; Chicken meat production decreased by 4.2 percent, turkey meat production by 7.1 percent and the number of chickens slaughtered decreased by 7.8 percent.

Chicken meat production, which in the previous month was 199,950 tons, decreased 9.7 percent in April and went to 180,495 tons.
