Retail sales increased in April
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the April 2023 Retail Sales Indices.
In this way, the volume of retail sales at constant prices increased 27.5 percent in April 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco rose 21.2 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) 34.9 percent, and sales of auto fuel 12. 5 percent.
Retail sales volume at constant prices increased 0.9 percent in April 2023 compared to the previous month.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 0.4 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) increased 1.9 percent, while sales of auto fuel decreased by 1.5 percent.
BILLING INCREASED 3.4 PERCENT COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH
Retail billing at current prices increased by 82.3 percent in April 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 89.3 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) 104.5 percent, and sales of auto fuel 16, 7 percent.
Retail billing at current prices increased 3.4 percent in April 2023 compared to the previous month.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 2.8 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) increased 5.1 percent, while sales of auto fuel decreased 2.3 percent.
