Eyes on meeting for minimum wage

When is the minimum wage meeting? Eyes on the rise in the minimum wage at the first meeting…

While inflation skyrocketed throughout the year, the minimum wage melted by the day. The date of the first minimum wage meeting was recently announced, which directly affects approximately 8 million employees and indirectly affects all other employees. Four meetings are expected to take place over the minimum wage, which is expected to be determined in July.

WHEN IS THE MINIMUM WAGE MEETING?

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first official meeting on Tuesday, June 13 to determine the salary that will be in effect for the next 6 months.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which is made up of workers, employers and representatives of the State, determines the minimum wage.

The employers’ side is represented by the Turkish Confederation of Employers’ Unions (TİSK), and the workers’ side is represented by the Minister of Labour, as it is the confederation with the largest number of members.

“WE WILL CONTINUE WITH ALL THE SECTIONS SATISFIED”

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz added a new one to the minimum wage statements he made two days ago.

“We said that we would work at minimum wage and retire working in July. We have started to take our steps,” Yılmaz said, adding: “There will be meetings on the minimum wage. There are 3 cuts here. There are employees, employers and the public sector. Negotiations will take place between the three parties. We hope that these three parties reach an agreement, ”he said.

Stating that the purchasing power of workers is not allowed to melt away in the face of inflation, Yılmaz said: “We will see the same approach. Topics such as our competitiveness and the increase in employment will continue to be on our agenda. We will continue to be evaluated in a balanced way to the satisfaction of all segments, ”he said.

‘PRIORITY ISSUE INFLATION’

Yılmaz also made statements on the economy and continued as follows:

“We will implement each measure that we have written in our electoral program in a planned way in the next processes. We will implement it with some consistency. Our 12th development plan will be on the agenda. We will update our mid-term program in the coming months. The program, which is a 3-year roadmap, will be prepared as a very important document containing monetary policy and fiscal policy.

We will discuss our policies with the Economic Coordination Council meeting on Thursday. I would like to point out that the issue of inflation is a priority”.
