Elon Musk went to China for the first time in three years
The private jet of Elon Musk, CEO of the American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, landed in Beijing.
A Reuters eyewitness provided the information. This visit will be Musk’s first to China in three years.
According to the sources, Musk is expected to meet with senior Chinese officials and visit Tesla’s factory in Shanghai.
Tesla did not respond to questions about Musk’s arrival in China.
China’s Foreign Ministry said the government welcomed Musk and other business leaders to promote “win-win cooperation.”
Sources told Reuters in March that Musk plans to visit China and meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
While China is Tesla’s second largest market after the US, the Shanghai factory is Tesla’s largest production hub. (Reuters)
