Making a general assessment of the statistics, AKTOB President Kaan Kavaloğlu expressed the following regarding domestic tourism:
“Although 2022 seems to be a year of recovery for tourism around the world, we cannot say that we have received the same positive data for the domestic market. It was inevitable that rising accommodation costs would be reflected in the domestic market. This will have a negative impact on cost-indexed tourists. Parallel to the economic recovery, there may be an improvement in demand momentum.
