The number of salaried employees rose 0.5 percent in March
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the statistics of paid employees for March 2023.
Consequently, the total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors increased by 6.5 percent in March 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
While the number of wage earners was 13,862,333 people in the same month of the previous year, it rose to 14,757,342 people in March 2023.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In March 2023, the number of salaried employees increased 3.4 percent in the industrial sector, 16.6 percent in the construction sector, and 6.6 percent in the commercial and service sector.
0.5 PERCENT INCREASE COMPARED TO FEBRUARY
The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors increased by 0.5 percent in March 2023 compared to the previous month.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In March 2023, salaried workers increased 0.2 percent in the industrial sector, 1.2 percent in the construction sector, and 0.6 percent in the commercial and service sector.
