MSCI changed the indices
MSCI, one of the global index providers, announced the addition of Tofaş Turkish Automobile Factory to the Turkish Standard Index.
MSCI announced the changes to the global indices that will take effect from May 31.
Consequently, although Tofaş Turkish Automobile Factory was added to the Turkish Standard Index, no company was removed from the index.
COMPANIES ADDED AND REMOVED FROM THE INDEX
Shares of Ahlatçı Natural Gas Distribution, Aksa Energy Production, Borusan Mannesmann Pipe Industry, Can2 Termik, İmas Makina Sanayi, Kiler Holding, Margün Energy Production Industry were added to the small-scale companies index, while Penta Teknoloji Ürünleri Dağıtım Ticaret was excluded .
Analysts noted that some international funds run their portfolios in parallel with the MSCI index and said these funds adjust their positions on stock exchanges according to changes in the index. (AA)
