Tender for luxury vehicles from AKP Gaziantep Municipality to AKP candidate

According to information from the Public Procurement Bulletin; Gazi Konut İnşaat entered the car rental tender on February 22. The tender was arranged using the “21-b” method, which must be used for war, epidemic, emergency and special works.

According to the news broadcast on SÖZCÜ TV, only two companies were invited to the tender. The only company that submitted a bid was Yılda Private Education Transportation and Cleaning Services Industry and Trade Limited Company, owned by Memik Yılmaz, the AKP candidate.

On March 1, a contract worth 1 million 896 thousand liras was signed between the company and Gazi Konut İnşaat. The technical sheet, which includes details of how many vehicles have been rented, has not been published.

This is not the first offer the company has received. This company won the car rental tender of the GBB Energy subsidiary of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, the results of which were published on March 29 and held on February 28, for TL 1,383,250. The total cost of bids the company has received since 2011 is TL 1 billion.

On the other hand, it has been revealed that Gazi Konut İnşaat was put out to tender for luxury vehicles in the earthquakes on February 6, which killed at least 50,000 people.

The same tender was held on February 6 at 2:00 p.m. However, the tender was canceled because there was no bidder. The vehicles that wanted to be rented were registered as latest model luxury vehicles.

Memik Yılmaz, AKP candidate, said in 2019 for Gaziantep’s Oğuzeli district: “I will fly the AK party flag here again.”
