YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT INCREASES
The unemployment rate among the youth population covering the age group of 15 to 24 years became 20.1 percent with an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous month. Unemployment rate in this age group; It was estimated at 15.2 percent for men and 28.9 percent for women.
The average weekly effective working time, corrected for seasonal and calendar effects, of the employed during the reference period fell by 0.2 hours compared to the previous month and became 44.5 hours.
WIDE UNEMPLOYMENT 21.8 PERCENT
The rate of underemployment by time, potential labor force and unemployed (broad definition unemployment) rose to 21.8 percent, a decrease of 1.6 percentage points in March compared to the previous month.
While the combined rate of underemployment due to insufficient hours and unemployment was 15.1 percent, the combined rate of unemployment and potential labor force was estimated at 17.2 percent.
