Premium ganyan dealers protest in Istanbul

Members of the Istanbul Chamber of Craftsmen Spor Toto and Horse Racing Ganyan Dealers protested in front of the Veliefendi racecourse claiming that the premium they received was low and no improvement was made in this context.

Traders gathered in front of the Veliefendi racecourse in Zeytinburnu and protested against the Turkish Jockey Club with applause.

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Spor Toto and Horse Racing Ganyan Dealers Chairman Fevzi Power said in a statement to members of the press that they work on a premium basis and the premium rate is 5 percent.

8 PERCENT PREMIUM APPLICATION

Expressing that this fee is not enough for merchants under current conditions, Güçlü said, “When a ganjan merchant charges 1,000 lira, he earns 50 lira on this money. Our Ganyan distributors are closing one by one because they can’t balance their income and expenses. While the number of distributors of the Jockey Club of Turkey was 1,400 in Istanbul 2 years ago, now it is 803. We have no choice but to seek justice against the Jockey Club of Türkiye.” saying.

Stating that they demanded that their premiums be increased by 8 percent, the Force added that the merchants would not be able to serve under these conditions after a while.

Following the press release, members of the Chamber of Craftsmen entered the clubhouse to meet with the officials of the Turkish Jockey Club. (AA)
