Istanbul April inflation has been announced

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Living Wage Index, based on 1995, which is the indicator of retail price movements in Istanbul, increased by 4.57% in April 2023 compared to the previous month and 62.46% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The annual increase of the Wholesale Price Index, which reflects the movements of wholesale prices, was 70.58 percent. The index rose 3.14 percent on a monthly basis.

In March, the annual increase was 73.02 percent in retail prices and 74.22 percent in wholesale prices.

PRICE MOVEMENTS IN SUBINDICES

In April 2023, in retail prices compared to the previous month; 29.04 percent in Clothing Expenses, 11.97 percent in Expenses in Culture, Education and Entertainment, 3.87 percent in Food Expenses, 2.32 percent in Household Expenses, 1.68 percent in Housing Expenses, 1.32 percent in Expenses in Transportation and Communications, and Health and Personal Care Expenses rose 0.64 percent and Other Expenses rose 0.24 percent.

WHOLESALE PRICES

In April 2023, in wholesale prices compared to the previous month; An increase of 16.25 percent in the Raw Materials Group, 3.35 percent in the Textiles Group, 2.96 percent in the Building Materials Group, 0.76 percent in the Food Group , 0.61 percent in the Mining Group, -10.45 percent in the Chemicals, Fuels and Firewood Group, and a decrease of -1.10 percent was observed in the Energetic Substances Group.
