BRSA extended the deadline for overdue deposits

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) extended the deadline for deposit and participation funds, which expired from 2022, to September 15 due to the earthquake.

The deadline for such deposits, participation funds and collection rights was June 15.

EXTENDED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 15

According to the BRSA decision published in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, starting in 2022, the application deadline, which is June 15, for beneficiaries and their heirs who have overdue deposits, participation funds, trusts and accounts receivable, will be applied as of September 15.

The BRSA has decided that the amounts of these accounts receivable for the year 2022, which are not sought by the beneficiaries and their heirs, together with interest and dividends, can be transferred to the accounts in the Central Bank of the SDIF or in the banks to determine the SDIF until September 30.
