Employers asked Bilgin to lower the 9,000-day premium requirement

Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Chairman Gürsel Baran stated that he forwarded his request to Vedat Bilgin, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, regarding the implementation of the 9,000-day premium period required for employers to retire, like 7,200 days, including ATO members

The 6th Ordinary Assembly of the 29th Legislature of the ATO was held in the Assembly Hall of the Chamber with the participation of Minister Bilgin.

In his speech at the meeting, Baran said that they had visited Bilgin since the day he took office and had raised many issues, from the extension of part-time work allowance to cash wage support, from unemployment benefit to support for normalization, from the premium debts of the Social Security Institution (SGK) to updating the Sanitary Implementation Notification rates.

Baran stated that they last visited Bilgin on April 6 and conveyed their demands regarding the amount of premium days applied for the retirement of Bağ-Kur members, which is one of the issues that millions are concerned about. of people.

Making statements on the subject, Baran said:

“Bağ-Kur under the old system is defined as 4B under the new system. Members of this system must pay premiums for 9,000 days, that is, 25 years, to retire. However, for workers and civil servants, this period is 7,200 days or 20 years. There is a time difference of 1800 days, i.e. 5 years, between SGK employees and Bağ-Kur employees.

Therefore, Bağ-Kur members pay premiums for a longer period of time and retire later. We forwarded to the Minister our request that the 9,000-day premium period applied to employers who contribute to the economy by investing, taking risks, and creating added value and employment be 7,200 days, including our affiliates.
