It was decided to support 50 percent of farmers’ agricultural water use service fees by 2023.
They publish in the Official Gazette the Presidential Agreement to Support the Charge for the Service of Water Use for Agricultural Irrigation.
The decision is intended to help ensure the security of food supply and sustainability in agricultural production by reducing production costs and increasing competitiveness by supporting dedicated farmers’ water use service fees. to agricultural production in irrigated fields operated by irrigation unions and cooperatives this year. .
THE MANUFACTURER WILL PAY 50 PERCENT
Consequently, 50 percent of the tariff for the water use service determined by the irrigators unions in accordance with their own procedures and principles will be paid mainly to the corresponding irrigators union by the producer user of the water. The remaining 50 percent of the water use service fee will be transferred to the irrigation unions on behalf of the producers from the corresponding budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The compensation based on the payment that will be created by the irrigation unions will be sent to the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI). After DSI performs and approves the necessary checks, the findings will be sent to the Ministry for payment. The payments will be transferred to the account of the corresponding irrigators unions on behalf of the producers.
A 50 percent support will be made to producers who pay the canon for water use service accrued on behalf of the producers by the irrigation cooperatives within the term.
At the end of the 2023 production year, the icmals belonging to the producers who pay the canon for the water use service by the irrigation cooperatives will be delivered to the provincial agricultural and forestry district directorates. The icmals, which are reviewed and approved by the directorates, will be sent to the Ministry for payment.
WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR
Producers who will benefit from this support must be registered in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS).
The request for support in the scope of the decision will start from January 1, 2023 and will end on December 31, 2023.
The necessary resources for the payments related to the supports will be covered by the Ministry’s agriculture support budget for the year 2023.
Due to his services to Ziraat Bank regarding the implementation of the decision, 0.2 percent of the amount of support paid will be paid separately as commission.
The Ministry will be authorized to take measures to ensure supervision of support payments.
