The capacity utilization rate in the industry increased in April
In April 2023, the Central Bank announced the results of the Business Trend Survey of 1,718 workplaces operating in the manufacturing industry.
Consequently, the seasonally adjusted Capacity Utilization Rate in the manufacturing industry increased 1.4 points compared to the previous month and reached 75.6 percent.
The Capacity Utilization Rate (CUR), without seasonal adjustment, increased 1.9 points with respect to the previous month and went to 75.4 percent.
THE PRODUCTION OF INTERMEDIATE GOODS INCREASED
The capacity utilization rate in the production of intermediate goods, which was 72.7 percent in March, rose to 74.4 percent in April. In investment goods, while this rate was 78.6 percent in March, it became 79.1 percent in April. In the same period, an increase of 1.5 points was registered in consumer goods and the CUR rose to 73.2 percent.
While the durable consumer goods rate increased 1.5 points to 71.9 percent, the non-durable goods rate rose to 73.4 percent.
