95 thousand houses could not be heated
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources also released the number of households that had their natural gas cut off because their debts were not paid by the end of December 2022 and that entered the New Year without natural gas. According to data from the Ministry, last December the natural gas supply of 95,721 homes, 13,503 businesses and another 244 subscribers was cut off. In total, natural gas was cut off in December for 109,468 homes. In 2020, 840,953 subscribers were cut off for not being able to pay their natural gas bills; In 2021, this number increased to 1,197,227 with a record increase.
In free gas the date is April 20
The date of free natural gas announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was also announced.
