Erdogan statement on interest and inflation

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the inauguration and turnkey ceremony of urban transformation projects at Gaziosmanpaşa Square.

Making remarks about the agenda in his speech at the ceremony, Erdoğan claimed that inflation will be under control by the end of this year and interest rates will continuously decline.

Erdogan made the following statements on the subject:

“We will have controlled the issue of inflation by the end of this year and we will have resolved it next year. As long as this brother is in power, the interest cannot increase. Interest rates will decrease. He will see that inflation will decrease along with the interest rate.

“THEY ARE NOT THE WORK OF TODAY”

Making remarks about the prices of onion and meat, which have been high on the agenda with their high prices and have caused much criticism of the government, Erdogan said: “They are not today’s business.”

Expressing that there may be some problems in daily life, Erdoğan said, “Lately, people constantly say that people cannot buy onions and meat. There may be some problems in daily life, they are not today’s business. Of course, wars and crises can also have a reflection on us. We strive to minimize these effects with measures. The goal of what we do is to radically solve these problems,” he said.
