After the mobile and the tablet, four more products will be renewed and sold.
Product refurbishment centers will now be able to refurbish used computers, smartwatches, game consoles and modems and put them up for sale.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Commerce published in the Official Gazette today, which provides for changes in the regulation on the sale of refurbished products, refurbishment centers will be able to renew all specified products without the need for a separate renewal authorization document, provided that they have the certificate of adequacy of the place of service obtained in accordance with the corresponding standard.
You may enter into an authorized service contract with the manufacturer or importer of the refurbished products. It will be able to operate as one of the authorized service stations, which must be established for these products. A renewed product may be subject to multiple renewals.
PAID-IN CAPITAL CONDITION INCREASES TO 30 MILLION TL
With the Communiqué, the paid-up capital requirement, which is not less than TL 10 million, required for the issuance of the renewal authorization certificate was increased to TL 30 million.
Among business enterprises with the renewal authorization certificate, those with a paid-up capital amount of less than TL 30 million will complete the paid-up capital amount up to January 1, 2024.
FOR THOSE WITH A BATTERY CAPACITY LESS THAN 85 PERCENT
If refurbished products are offered for sale using remote communication tools, it will be mandatory to sell these products in a separate category that is distinguishable from unused and other used goods.
Used cell phones with less than 85% battery capacity will need to be replaced in order to be offered for sale as a refurbished product. (Reuters)
