According to the statement of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the central budget recorded a deficit of TL 47.2 billion in March. In the first three months of 2023, the total budget deficit reached TL 250 billion.
In March 2023, the central government budget expenditure was TL 334 billion, the budget revenue was TL 286.8 billion, and the budget deficit was TL 47.2 billion. In addition, the primary budget expenditure was TL 289 billion and the primary deficit was TL 2.1 billion.

Non-interest budget expenses increased by 45.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to TL 288.969 million. While the non-interest expense realization rate based on budget allocations was 7.9% in 2022, it increased to 7.4% in 2023.
Tax revenue collection in March 2023 increased by 55.9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached TL 198.59 billion. While the tax revenue realization rate according to the budget estimate was 5.8% in 2022, it became 6.2% in 2023.
