BİSAM: the hunger limit increased to 9 thousand 752 TL in March

United Metal-İş Research Center (BİSAM) announced the hunger and poverty line data for March 2023.

Consequently, the hunger limit, which expresses the amount of monthly spending for a healthy and balanced diet for a family of four, increased from 9,234 TL in February to 9,752 TL in March.

The poverty line, which covers all the monthly expenses of a family such as rent, bills, transportation, education, health and clothing, reached 33,754 TL in March, while in February it was 31,939 TL.

GOES 325 TL DAILY TO FOOD

According to BİSAM data, the monthly equivalent of food that an adult man should consume for a healthy and balanced diet was calculated at 2,385 TL.

While this value was 2,276 TL for an adult woman, it was 2,471 TL for a 15- to 18-year-old girl and 1,651 TL for a 4- to 6-year-old boy.

The cost of a healthy diet for the total family budget was determined to be 8,782 lira.

Among the 325.1 lira of daily spending, the most expensive consumer item is 32 lira for those between the ages of 10 and 18.
The amount of milk and dairy products the young person should consume.

As of March 2023, the daily cost of a healthy and balanced diet was calculated at 325 TL.

MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS OF THE HIGHEST COST GROUP

In daily expenses, the highest cost group in March 2023 was the milk and dairy group, with a spending requirement of TL 114.60.

It was followed by the meat, chicken and fish group with 61.6 LT; The required daily expenditure for vegetables and fruits reached 61.2 lira in March.

While the amount of spending required for bread was 23.4 lira per day, fat and oil were the product groups that required 19.44 lira to spend.
