CHP Vice President Ahmet Akın stated that according to official reports, 1,279,990 subscribers experienced temporary gas cuts in 2020, when the good news broke.

Akın said that “65.7 percent of these subscribers, that is, 840 thousand 954, were cut off because they could not pay the bill on time,” adding: “In 2021, the number of people experiencing temporary gas cuts increased to 1 million 620 thousand 64 people, while 73.9 percent of subscribers, that is, 1 million 197 thousand 227 of them were deducted for not paying the invoice amount on time. After the gospel, the number of subscribers who had their natural gas cut off because they couldn’t pay their bills in a year increased by 42.3 percent. “The table in question shows that the government is the boss of energy increases,” Akın said, adding: “We will directly support our citizens in our government. We will not oppress our citizens, industrialists and merchants with high prices,” he said.

‘The only thing that fell was the value of TL’

CHP Vice President Ahmet Akın stated that the AKP government has turned Black Sea natural gas into a political masterpiece, saying, “The government has promised that citizens’ bills will be reduced with Black Sea natural gas. . The only thing that has fallen since 2020 has been the purchasing power and value of the Turkish lira.”
