‘SGK staff have become unbearable’

SGK employees, who are members of the Office Workers Union (BES), gathered at the General Directorate of Pension Services of the Social Security Institution in Ankara, continue their protests.

BES No. 1 Branch Head Ercan Erdoğan said: “Social Security Institution staff have been deprived of their personal rights in addition to their salaries. Despite the constant demand for our rights for about 12 years, no rights have been obtained by the unions, which have authority and a voice in collective agreements, and SGK staff have become incompetent as a result of the losses wages due to the inflationary effect.

THEY CONTINUE TO BE VICTIMS

In summary, Erdogan said:

Personal rights, which were abolished under the name of equal pay for equal work with Decree Law 666, brought equality of titles, but aggrieved SGK personnel whose workload was much higher than the public average. Over the years, the workload has increased numerically compared to employees of other institutions. In other words, the balance of duties, responsibilities, and pay has constantly developed against us in inverse proportion.

HEAVY WORK IS ON THE SHOULDER

There has been a continuous decline in the number of staff due to years of understaffing, retirement, resignation, and organizational change of the institution’s employees, who were crushed by the heavy workload. As a result of these losses of personal rights, we strive to serve our citizens with a salary of 11,200 TL and a salary of 100 hours of overtime, which can never be covered. Additionally, the perception that SGK staff are kept busy with the EYT process has created a significant obstacle to desired entitlements. However, in each restructuring issued by the Ministry of Finance, SGK staff duly fulfilled their duties and took on a workload of a few EYT.

FOR YEARS WE FREEZE THE ELBOW

Since the salaries of civil servants are arbitrarily served to citizens and the press both in the press and through the social network, we have been placed under suspicion, especially as SGK staff. Our employees, who have been bruised and worn out financially and morally for years by the training they have received, and who became Public Servants with the exams, have been seen to be paid almost at the minimum wage level, and have been worn out with perceptions for years .”
