797 thousand 920 tourists arrived in Antalya in 3 months
In the city, where the largest number of tourists arriving in Antalya in January and February was recorded, another record was broken in March.
According to the data of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism of the Antalya Governorate, 797,920 tourists visited the city by air between January 1 and March 31, and this figure went down in history as the best start to all times in terms of tourism.
In terms of the number of tourists, the Russians ranked first, the Germans second, and the British third.
2021 AND 2022 TOTAL LEFT BEHIND
Tourism data for 2023 in Antalya exceeded the total number of tourists who visited the city by air between January 1 and March 31 in 2021 and 2022.
While the number of tourists who visited the city by air in the same period of 2021 was 266,791, 515,304 in 2022, the number of tourists who visited the city by air in 2023 was 797,920.
In 2019, known as the year of tourism records, this figure was recorded at 579,478 people.

THE INCREASE IN THE MONTHLY AND ANNUAL RATE CONTINUES
In Antalya, which is described as the ‘tourism capital’ in terms of the number of tourists it welcomes, the monthly and annual increase in tourism data rates continues.
While 226,314 people visited Antalya by air between March 1 and 31, 2022, this figure reached 347,635 with an increase of 54 percent over the same period in 2023.
Looking at dates between January 1 and March 31; While 515,304 people visited Antalya by air between January 1 and March 31, 2022, this number increased by 55 percent to 797,920 in the same period of 2023.
RUSSIANS AND GERMANS RANK FIRST
As for the number of tourists who will visit Antalya by air in 2023, the Russians rank first and the Germans second. Between January 1 and March 31, the largest number of tourists came to Antalya from Russia with 213,101.
Russia was followed by Germany with 169,228 tourists and then England with 88,572 tourists.
The other countries that sent the most tourists to Antalya by air in the three-month period were Poland, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Denmark, respectively.
The percentage distribution of tourists visiting Antalya by air is; Russia 30.98 percent, Germany 24.60 percent, England 12.88 percent, Poland 3.55 percent, Iran 2.57 percent, Israel 2.47 percent, Kazakhstan 1.99 percent, Countries Netherlands 1.66 percent, Ukraine 1 percent, 0.65 and Denmark 1.35 percent.
