UNEMPLOYMENT HAS BECOME CHRONIC

Saying that unemployment in Turkey has become chronic in the last 20 years, CHP Adana MP Burhanettin Bulut stated that we are facing the highest unemployment rate in the history of the Republic.

Bulut said: “The youth unemployment rate is increasing day by day. Universities lacking in quality and infrastructure, built by the government with the motto of ‘a university in each province’, instead of being a solution to unemployment, increased it. In our country we have 208 universities and millions of young people who graduate from these universities every year. Official figures show that one in three unemployed people have a university degree.
