Request for new regulation in EYT of victims of practices and merchants
The President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), Bendevi Palandöken, demanded that traders, craftsmen and “victims of practices” benefit from the regulation on the retirement age (EYT).
Palandoken, in his written statement, stated that the merchants and artisans were sad that they could not benefit from the regulation.
Demanding that the number of bonus days be equalized, Palandöken said: “It is against the principle of equality in the Constitution for SSK employees to retire in 7,200 days while merchants retire in 9,000 bonus days. To eliminate victimization, our merchants should be able to retire with 7,200 days of premium as SSK members.
INCREASE IN VICTIMS
Palandoken said: “The EYT regulation did not solve this problem for our traders and increased their complaints as they were not granted the right to borrow retroactively. However, with the retroactive lending right granted to merchants, an important source of revenue is provided to the state. By adding an additional article to the EYT regulation as soon as possible, the way should be opened for our tradesmen, craftsmen and internship victims to benefit from EYT.” (AA)
