Retirees want their demands met.

Request for retirees to suppress the adjustment and health contribution

Kazım Ergün, President of the Turkish Pensioners Association (TÜED), stated that they welcome the increase in the minimum pension and vacation bonus, and called for other demands to be met.

In his written statement, Ergün stated that they submitted a 24-item file with their demands to the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, during his visit to TÜED on March 22.

‘OTHER REQUESTS SHOULD FOLLOW’

Kazim Ergun said:

“We are pleased that our request for the lowest pension and Christmas bonus that we have been expressing for a long time has been met. We hope that our other demands will also be met. In the next period, we hope that our demands, such as the adjustment for those who retire after 2000 and the abolition of health contribution payments for retirees, will be met.”

Ergün expressed that the 900 lira increase in vacation bonuses did not fully match the expectations of retirees, he demanded that the vacation bonuses, which were determined at 2 thousand lira, be reconsidered. (AA)
