The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) postponed meter reading, bill accrual and charging transactions for some consumers in all Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya provinces, as well as in İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep, as well as its bad debts
The EMRA board’s decisions on the matter were published in the Official Gazette.
Consequently, consumers of active or usable electricity in the provinces of Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya, which were affected by the earthquakes of February 6, 2023, as well as in the districts of İslahiye and Nurdağı of Gaziantep, consumers of electricity in the group of medium voltage industrial subscribers, consumers of medium voltage electricity, within the scope of article 32 of the Regulation of Consumer Services of the Electricity Market, called “Meter reading and reading notification”, it has been decided to postpone meter readings up to and including May 31, 2023.
TO BE COLLECTED IN 6 MONTHS IN EQUAL INSTALLMENTS
Within the scope of article 33 of the same regulations, called “base and billing period”, the accrual and collection operations of invoices are also postponed until May 31 and the amount of the invoice is charged based on the total consumption of electricity in this period in 6 months in equal installments without any delay in payment, starting from the billing period of June 2023. it was decided.
Within the scope of the regulation, the second notification processes, electric power cut operations, deduction of the security fee and notifications, the termination of the retail sale contract, and It has been decided to postpone the notifications, judicial processes and notifications until and including this date until May 31, inclusive, and connect the electricity of the places of use whose electricity has been cut within the scope of this article, without any payment condition, at the request of the consumers.
On the other hand, according to another board decision published in the EMRA Official Gazette, supplier companies that work in places where a state of emergency was declared or a disaster zone was declared due to the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, the Quality Regulations on Distribution and Retail Commercialization Activities in the Electricity Market.
