215 PERCENT INCREASE IN RICE

Stating that the price of a kilogram of bulgur wheat has increased by 327% since March last year, Ağbaba said that there was an increase of 215% in a kilogram of rice, 176% in a kilogram of chickpeas and 166% in a kilogram. of dry beans. Ağbaba noted that the cost of rice pilaf on the iftar table has increased by 215 percent this year.

Onion stood at 20 TL

Following price increases in Turkey in recent years, there has been a noticeable change in the price of onions. In March 2022, a kilo of onion was put up for sale at 3.50 TL. The Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey, in the statement that evaluated last year’s price changes, stated that onion is the ‘champion of the rise’.
