Exchange of activities of the ‘Fiscal Council’ of Minister Nabati
In a post on his social media account, Nebati responded to CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s words, “We will establish the National Tax Council.”
Emphasizing that there is already a Fiscal Council that contributes to the creation of impartial and results-oriented tax policies in Turkey, acts as a bridge between the institutions and taxpayers, and is trusted by all stakeholders in the system with its objective out of common sense and consensus, Nebati said:
*Since 2003, many valuable academics, expert members, representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations and representatives of public institutions continue to contribute to the work of the Tax Council, which is an advisory body and acts on the principle of ‘Common Minded Blessing’.
*As you should know; In accordance with the principles of financial transparency and accountability, budget realizations, which show how much tax is collected from which revenue sources and how much is spent for which services, are regularly shared with the public on the 15th of each month at the website of our Ministry regarding the items of income and expenses.

Nebati also pointed out that the results of the execution of the Central Government Budget of the previous year, in which the public expenditures made with the income obtained in a year are shown in a transparent and detailed manner on the basis of a program, were approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the Final Agreement. Law of Accounts and published in the Official Gazette and audited by the Court of Accounts.
