Minister Bilgin announced the regulation of the minimum wage for the earthquake zone
Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, stated that the employer’s insurance premium is covered by the state and the employer’s part is added to workers’ wages and wages from work to prevent loss of labor in Earthquake. zone.
Within the framework of his contacts in Malatya, Minister Bilgin met industrialists at a glass factory in the 1st OIZ, where he listened to the demands of industrialists to increase production and the situation of workers.
In his speech, Minister Bilgin said that the quakes also damaged industrial establishments, new problems arose, and the way to alleviate the suffering of the quake was through solidarity.
Stating that the start of production will normalize life, Bilgin said:
“The problem in the first stage is the loss of manpower. In other words, the working people, our workforce going to other cities and the inability to organize the labor necessary for production. We already have a preparation for this number, I have announced it on several occasions. Give your employees a boost above minimum wage. This means that the employer’s insurance premium is paid directly by the state and the employer’s share is added to the workers’ wages and wages from the job. We have brought this work to the final stage. We will share it with the public once we are done with the relevant institutions, the Finance Department and other institutions.”
Noting that the part-time work allowance was also introduced, Bilgin said it contributed to the ability to organize work and prevent alienation of labor from the region.
Minister Bilgin noted that they paved the way for workers who retired due to the EYT to return to work, and significant support was provided for their severance pay.
bilgin said:
“We are prepared to attend to all types of demands from the industry within the limits of our legal regulations. Turkey cannot act before the industry acts. Turkey is growing with the industry. The latest industry figures show growth continues and industry based growth continues. We have two exits; one is the growth of the industry. Creating an effect that will drag the economy and drag other sectors. Our second way is export. Let’s talk about the third. it is tourism Without these two things, tourism alone cannot solve the problems. Therefore, I would like to affirm that we will cooperate and solve all problems, including earthquake problems, in solidarity.” (AA)
