Public banks, which opened a 36-month loan from TL 0.99 to TL 100 thousand with a 6-month delay for earthquake victims in the provinces where the earthquake disaster occurred, stopped applications made from branches in the face of intense lawsuit, and then blocked citizen applications by closing the mobile banking screen.

Banks increased this rate to 1.59 after 00:00 midnight and provoked intense reactions.

The suffering experienced by the victims of the earthquake did not end there.

A public bank blocked TCIP money deposited in the accounts of salaried clients whose homes were badly damaged in the earthquake and who used home loans from their banks.

The bank, which blocked 50,000 liras of the money deposited in the accounts of clients who had the mandatory TCIP policy, deposited the amount in the account of the earthquake victim. When hundreds of earthquake survivors were victimized in this way, they ended up in bank branches, only to have a second scare with the response they received from there.

Bank officials said: “You have a home loan from our bank. Since your house is severely damaged, we will deduct the money deposited by TCIP from your home loan debt.” The citizens who made their payments regularly and paid their installments without delay, did not get any results for the blocked TCIP money and found the solution to apply to CIMER.

The citizens, in their request via e-government, said that the bank confiscated the TCIP money deposited in their accounts and replied that they would deduct their home loan debt, while they were victims of their children in the tent city because they paid the loans regularly. and they could not enter their homes, demanding urgent help in this regard so as not to be victimized any more.

It has been known that so far there has been no positive or negative response to those affected by the earthquake.
