US wealth stands at $147.7 trillion
The US Federal Reserve (Fed) published the report “US Financial Accounts” for the period October-December of last year.
Thus, the net wealth of the country’s households amounted to 147.7 trillion dollars in the fourth quarter of last year.
Household wealth, which increased 2 percent in the last quarter of last year compared to the previous quarter, decreased 2.7 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
“REDUCES TO 144.8 BILLION DOLLARS”
US household net wealth dropped to $146.1 trillion in the second quarter and $144.8 trillion in the third quarter, after hitting a record $151.9 trillion in the first quarter from last year.
In the last quarter of last year, the value of stocks increased by $2.7 trillion, while the value of real estate decreased by $100 billion.
The rise in US household debt slowed to 2.3 percent from 6.2 percent in the fourth quarter of last year.
In said period, consumer loans increased by 7 percent and mortgage debt (loans for housing) increased by 4.4 percent. (AA)
