DİSK-AR: Low-income food inflation is 102.3 percent
The Research Center of the Confederation of Revolutionary Unions of Workers (DİSK-AR) announced the food inflation that low-income citizens are exposed to.
In this sense, it was stated that the food inflation of retirees and low incomes was around the range of 88 to 102 percent.
According to DİSK-AR calculations, food inflation was 69.3 percent on average, while food inflation for retirees was 88.3 percent.
While food inflation for the bottom 20 percent income group was 69.3 percent, food inflation for the bottom 20 percent income group was 89.3 percent, and inflation of food from the bottom 20 percent income group was 102.3 percent.

In the written statement, “AKP continues to increase inflation. The inflation rate, which was 29.7 percent in December 2002, became 55.18 percent in February 2023.
