Central Bank reserves decreased last week

The total reserves of the Central Bank (CBRT) decreased by 1 trillion 429 million dollars in the week of February 24 compared to the previous week and fell to 121 trillion 170 million dollars.

Weekly Money and Bank Statistics were published by the CBRT.

Consequently, as of February 24, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves were reduced by 1,409 million dollars to 71,980 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 73 thousand 389 million dollars on February 17.

NET REZEV DECREASED

The CBRT net reserve decreased from $21.4 billion to $20.2 billion last week. CBRT’s net reserve excluding SWAP increased to minus $44 billion last week. This figure was at the level of minus 44.8 billion the previous week.

In said period, gold reserves decreased by 20 million dollars, from 49 thousand 210 million dollars to 49 thousand 190 million dollars.

Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased from 122 thousand 599 million dollars to 121 thousand 170 million dollars in the week of February 24, with a decrease of 1 thousand 429 million dollars with respect to the previous week.
